Comment va votre âme ?

Today’s society prioritizes outward appearance, sometimes overlooking the importance of inner self-care. Staying fit, eating well, and looking good are positive habits, but they should not overshadow our emotional and spiritual balance.

Why?

Because our true identity is not found in what we show on the outside, but in who we are inside, that "self" invisible to others, but fully known to God.

There is a much deeper dimension to our existence as we know it; a spiritual dimension. Some choose to ignore it, yet it represents an essential source of inner balance.

We are designed to live in harmony with our spirit, which must be connected to God the Holy Spirit, for it is He who enlightens us.

The Bible declares in Proverbs 20 : 27 (BDS)

" The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart."

The soul, for its part, is multidimensional; it embraces our will, our thoughts, and our emotions. It can be nourished by many things: fame, money, sex, all kinds of pleasures, a fulfilling professional life, and much more.

Unfortunately, when these legitimate realities take the place of God in hearts and lives, addictions can then unbalance, or even destroy, an individual's existence, especially when everyone acts according to what seems good to them, without consideration for God.

This inevitably leaves an inner void, a profound sense of dissatisfaction, and lasting unease. 😞

But there is hope...😊

Why does the soul always so unsatisfied?

Because humanity was intentionally created with a God-shaped void at the very center of its being.

No matter what we try to fill it with, nothing can truly satisfy it or bring the deep fulfillment and longed‑for happiness we so earnestly seek.

The Bible declares in:

Ecclesiaste 3 : 11 (NKJV)

" He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end."

This verse speaks for itself: The only thing that will satisfy the deepest longing of the human spirit, soul, and heart is God Himself.

The very famous philosopher Blaise Pascal understood this very well; he wrote:

"There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of every man, which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God the Creator, who has made Himself known to men through Jesus."

Nobody can fully function without a true intimate relationship with God. This is why God invites us and says in:

Proverbs 23:26 (NKJV)

"My son, give me your heart, And let your eyes observe my ways."

I give my heart to Jesus
